A Financial Collapse and a Pandemic Remembered

When I wrote "Portsoy Woods" in 2016, some of the people who read it felt that the challenges the family met within the book were excessive and that they would "never happen" all at once.  If you recall, the family in Portsoy Woods managed personal losses, worries, and navigated an American financial collapse and a pandemic. Although they were somewhat protected from some of these things by virtue of luck, geography and funding, they were still impacted by them.

To those who felt the book was unrealistic fiction, I call your attention to current events. The US, and the world is enduring a pandemic which is unprecedented in the modern era, and it may well generate a financial collapse in some, or even in many places.

Perhaps a read of Portsoy Woods is a good idea.  The family and their friends made progress and coped with their challenges courageously. Perhaps the world could use some inspiration in these times.
